Christmas came. It was a wonderful day filled with family, fun, presents and food. Aunt Carmen, Uncle Greg, Lita (Elena) and Grandpa Dan all filled the house for Christmas and a few days of adventure and laughter.

We started things off Christmas Eve by going to Woodstock together for Christmas Eve dinner at the cabin. With over 100 relatives there, it was a beautiful evening. So many young children running around with the excitement of Christmas. To top it all off, we had a Christmas talent show with all the young cousins singing or playing instruments in the spirit of Christmas. That is what its all about.

We got home just in time to meet Carmen and Greg at the house. Seeing them was great...it was the first time we have seen them since they have been married and since Greg has returned home from Afghanistan. We stayed up way to late catching up and playing cards as a family and had a great time doing it.
On Christmas day, little Ben slept in past eight! That in itself was a Christmas miracle since he is usually up at six. Connor was up well before that though so between the two of them they have worked it out that we don't sleep...ever. We opened presents. Little Ben got a rocking horse that he is crazy about. Connor got clothes and hand knit blankets from his Abuela . We ate sausage and eggs and gathered around the table for a family breakfast on our disposable plates since our diswahser, like my car, is totalled.

It was around this time that we noticed some subtle changes is Ben. We are not sure if it is because of the new baby in the house, or so many people, or not being able to go outside, or getting close to the "terrible twos", or forcing him to have neb treatments several times a day for over a week now, or getting his I teeth...but he has started to show some real agression. It was small at first. He will make a face by squinting his eyes and clenching his teeth and hands. Sometimes he tries to hit and other times bite. It looks really funny, but we know it is not. So far he chased his aunt Carmen around the house with one of his toy hammers and beat her repeatedly with it. He caught his father with the edge of the "B Movie" box right on the bridge of his nose...that brought tears to his eyes. He will swing his arm back and get that crazy look on his face, then you know what is coming...several attempts to maul anyone he has his sights on. The strangest part of all is that now he is talking and showing more affection as well. More hugs, more "mom" and "daddy" and definatly more "NOOOOOOO." It is a transition for sure. Yesterday at the mall was the highpoint of Ben's psychostic state. He stole a cinamon stick right from a girls hand, tried to eat icecream out of another girls hand and danced until he fell down in front Abercrombie and Fitch...but kept dancing once he was on the ground. He had quite a crowd of onlookers during that episode.

We have made some excellent family meals and took a family trip to Charlottesville. Connor has been a sleeping giant the whole time and he is growing and changing too. He is much more alert when he is awake and making lots of noises...with all of his body.

In the last few days we also made an aswesome snowman named "Eduardo," took some great family pictures with him.
