SPAIN TRIP DETAILS...

...if anyone cares anymore, it is a thing in the past now.

Here are answers to the most popular questions:
#1.) How was he on the flights???
The first flight was the worst of all, so I was like GREAT! This is going to be AWESOME! The flight was super packed, not a single empty seat and it was a tiny "connection jet", luckily the flight from Roanoke to Atlanta was only going to be an hour and twenty minutes long. But then we had to taxi FOREVER. Initially he did find some entertainment with the window shade and tray table, but of course he lost interest in that really fast. Then he saw the coolest thing ever: bright pink fake finger nails on the lady next to us, that for some reason he found entertaining for the next 45 mins. Next time you see me and I have fake pink nails you know why.

For the 7 hour flight there is not much to say. Except that I lucked out and got a row to myself and he slept 5 of the 7 hours! The other 2 were occupied by taking laps around the plane-he loved the attention he got, food, and wonderful "Sparkabilities".

Flight 3; 30 min Barcelona to Mallorca flight was fine too, he was still sleepy, however he did manage to throw up his breakfast all over himself and stroller right before we got on the plane so I had to bring him on the plane in just his diaper and smelling like puke! YAY!

Flights back I could care less because I had hubby Ben to help :) And thankfully because we had a jammed packed 9 hour return flight from France to Atlanta and there is no way I could have done it alone. Little Ben slept over 6 of the hours miraculously but that meant I could not get up for 6 hours because he slept across the tray tables. I cannot even tell you how swollen my feet were by the end. But that is it! Nothing to exciting!

#2.)How was the beach???
Great! If you do not want to lay out and relax that is. Ya, no sun tanning allowed with a 14 month old. He was too busy chasing after the topless women, going to everyones towels but ours, "head plowing" in the sand, and eating everything he could fit in his mouth. Oh and he loves to drink the salt water. Not to mention that everyone knew we were Americans because he was the only uncircumcised peener running around the beach :) But it was a blast and he was the cutest thing. He loved to help dig his holes and swim and he is more tan than that his mama!

#3.)How was the time change???
What time change? The first 2 nights he went to bed around 10:00 and slept until 10:00 (man that was nice). I got to wake up hours before him have cafe con leche and churros with my mom and aunt on her terrace, and relax while doing it! But then he realized how happy I was while he was sleeping in so he put a stop to that and went back to his normal 8:30 to 7:00 routine. The only thing that never quite got acclimated were his bowels, he would have a random bowel movement sometime in the night and wake up with a happy little load in his pants, every morning. I found it quite humorous.

Otherwise, it was great seeing family and the food (which I always look forward too) was so delicious, better than ever. The time flew by unfortunately. We cannot wait to go back. I'm just going to make sure that I never fly alone - who wants to come over there with me next time?! - And next time it will be with 2 kids!!!
